Entry forms are now available for the 2009-2010 Mensa Education and Research Foundation Scholarship
Essay Contest.
Piedmont Area Mensa participates annually in the Scholarship Essay Contest established by Mensa Foundation. Over the years PAM has awarded thousands of dollars in unrestricted scholarships to students who reside in the Upstate. Local funding for PAM scholarships comes from the efforts of members who donate their time to fundraising activities as well as from private donations and grants.
The contest is open to any student who will be
matriculated in a U. S. post-secondary educational institution in the fall
of the academic year following the competition and who is currently a
resident of a participating local group of American Mensa. The contest is based on an essay not exceeding 550 words in length
describing the applicant's career, academic or vocational goals and how the
applicant intends to achieve those goals. Awards can be
made at local, regional
and national levels, or up to all three levels!
Entry forms that describe the 2009-2010 program and provide the contest rules
are now available. For additional information, please
